Curriculum
TBS Afterschool Programming 2024-2025
Our P.A.C.T. curriculum (Progressive Approach to Curriculum and Teaching) provides:
- Emphasis on learning by doing – hands-on projects, expeditionary learning, experiential learning
- Integrated curriculum focused on thematic units
- Strong emphasis on problem solving and critical thinking
- Group work and development of social skills
- Understanding and action as the goals of learning as opposed to rote knowledge
- Collaborative and cooperative learning projects
It is also our “PACT” to our students of all ages and our families that their experiences, learning, and interactions are meaningful, thoughtful, differentiated, and designed to meet them where they’re at and work on scaffolding their learning as far as they are able to go.
